Loss

I lost my heart,

in a battle of words.

Gasping for air,

because he’s no longer here.

Panic and shake,

from a loss I can’t take.

Begging for forgiveness,

with my entire spirit.

I pray for a way to make it all go away-

surrender the battle and make my heart stay.
